On the 30th July 2016, Wolverhampton Wanderers shocked football fans when they appointed Walter Zenga as the club's new head coach.

After only 87 days at the club, Zenga has already been shown the exit door as Wolves search for a new manager.

In 16 Sky Bet Championship games, Zenga won four, drew four and lost six resulting in them currently sitting in 18th place in the table.

After the club's takeover from the Chinese consortium Fosun in the summer, the new owners have quickly sacked their first coach.

However, they will take their time with this appointment as they look to pick the right man to fire them up the table.

Here are THREE managers who could potentially replace Walter Zenga at Wolves...

Karl Robinson

Karl Robinson ended his six year spell at MK Dons this week after a disappointing start to the season.

Despite this torrid run of form, Robinson continues to be labelled as a highly regarded manager across the Football League.

His possession based brand of football is a joy to watch when executed well and this is exactly what Wolves need.

A passionate and hungry manager who simply took MK Dons as far as he could.

Robinson could excel at another club and Wolves could be the perfect opportunity for him.

Nigel Pearson

Forgetting his poor spell in charge at Derby County most recently, Nigel Pearson could certainly be the man to fire Wolves up the table.

The Black Country club undoubtedly have the squad to compete at the top end of the league table, and under Pearson's guidance they could certainly reach those heights.

A fiery, passionate and proven manager such as Pearson would be a superb appointment.

Mick McCarthy

Despite minimal funds and a squad packed full of free agents and players on loan, Mick McCarthy continues to achieve respectable league positions with Ipswich Town.

At Championship level, along with Neil Warnock, you will struggle to find a manager who knows the league as well as he does and how to get teams promoted.

Right now would be the perfect opportunity for McCarthy to return to Wolves and help them reach the Premier League once again.

The former Sunderland boss would finally have the opportunity to splash the cash with the backing of new owners, and the appointment would certainly please the Wolves faithful.
