With one of the most industrious and productive academy set-ups outside of the Premier League, Sheffield United have a long production line of young starlets for Chris Wilder to call upon.
The academy set up has seen a number of high-profile names come through the ranks over the years, most recently Che Adams and Dominic Calvert-Lewin have moved to the higher divisions to join Birmingham City and Everton respectively.
Having such a productive academy system at his disposal has been extremely useful for Chris Wilder who vowed to give opportunities to Sheffield United’s academy graduates when he first took over the managerial duties in the summer.
With Sheffield United’s promotion to the Championship already sealed, Chris Wilder may look to use the academy to help strengthen the quality and depth of the squad ahead of the Championship season.
