QPR have had a turbulent start to the Championship season and with Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink gone, the club really needs a fresh start.

Plenty of managers have been mooted but most of that is irrelevant until the players start picking up results on the pitch.

Queens Park Rangers have some fantastic players in their ranks but for some reason, at times, they quite simply haven't performed.

But there have been moments throughout the season where we've seen shimmers of excellence from a very small number in particular.

Wins over Bristol City and Fulham stand out- with both of those sides doing exceptionally well themselves so far.

But we have in mind a couple of men in this QPR squad that should be playing in the top division.

So with that in mind, here's TWO QPR stars who really ought to be playing in the Premier League.....

Idrissa Sylla

You'd be extremely concerned if QPR hadn't brought Idrissa Sylla to the club this summer.

The former Anderlecht man has been a real source of quality upfront and at times, he's looked like the only player to be able to provide a presence and put the ball in the back of the net.

He's scored six times already this campaign and whilst that might not be up there with the top-scorers in the division, his power and strength upfront has meant some have tipped him for a move to the Premier League.

And you can see why too - teams like Sunderland are really missing a target-man upfront and he'd be a canny addition to plenty of teams around the country.

Alex Smithies

If there is one player at Loftus Road who deserves plenty of recognition for his performances this season, it's goalkeeper Alex Smithies.

Before his transfer to QPR last summer, he'd spent his entire career at Huddersfield Town, whom he helped guide from League One to the Championship.

And now, he looks destined to step up once again after a string of impressive performances between the sticks at Loftus Road.
