It has been a hugely disappointing campaign for Queens Park Rangers thus far this term.

The R's sit 17th in the league table, after 5 wins, 5 draws and 6 defeats from 16 league games, which has led to the inevitable departure of Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink.

The Dutchman was in charge of the London club for 11 months, and won just 13 games out of 47 games, accumulating a 27.7% win ratio during his time at the helm.

But now there is growing optimism flowing around Loftus Road, with the appointment of Championship legend Ian Holloway: a man who made 144 appearances for the club as a player, and managed them for 6 years.

And now, the 53-year-old will definitely want to use his second tier experience and quality to full effect, having earned promotion from the Championship to the top flight 3 times, once with the R's, and also with Blackpool and Crystal Palace.

Plus, with a squad blessed with real, underachieving talent, Holloway can really turn things around for the R's.

Therefore here, FLW writer George Harbey identifies TWO players on QPR's books that need to depart Loftus Road, in order to fulfil their own potential as well as Rangers'.

Nasser El Khayati

El Khayati

The 27-year-old arrived at Loftus Road in good stead, joining in January with Hasselbaink from high-flying Burton Albion.

The Dutchman netted 11 times in 42 games for the Brewers, however has failed to replicate the form he displayed at the Pirelli Stadium.

The winger has only scored one goal in 21 appearances for the R's, and QPR fans everywhere do not rate him at all; it may be time for him to move on to pastures new.

Conor Washington

Another player who arrived with high reputation was the powerful forward Conor Washington, who joined from League One outfit Peterborough United for a reported fee of £2.5million.

Since then, despite scoring 27 goals in 80 games for the Posh, he has only managed to find the net once in 25 games for the R's, which was against Swindon Town in the EFL Cup.

If Rangers want to form any kind of promotion push, they need a proven goalscorer at Championship level, and Washington isn't that man...

So...what do you think QPR fans? Would you agree with these two suggestions? Who else would you like to see leave Loftus Road? How do you think Holloway will do at QPR? Leave your thoughts and suggestions in the comments below!
