In what has been a rollercoaster ride for Queens Park Rangers so far this season, there appears to be some stability under the management of Ian Holloway.

The West London side has pulled away from the relegation zone and currently sit 16th in the Championship, with a ten point cushion above the relegation zone.

After a change in manager which saw Ian Holloway return to the club to replace Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink, Queens Park Rangers now look like a rejuvenated and reinvigorated outfit, far away from the side that looked increasingly likely to be dragged into a relegation battle.

Now that QPR are settled in the security of mid-table, Ian Holloway may begin assessing his squad and making plans for next season.

With such a transition and change in direction, some players have fallen out of favour and drifted to the margins of the squad.

FLW writer Elliott Wheat-Bowen looks at TWO Queens Park Rangers players who need to leave for the sake of their career....

Ben Gladwin

After emerging as a bright non-league talent, Ben Gladwin starred for Swindon Town before Queens Park Rangers signed him as well as Australian international Massimo Luongo.

Having made only fourteen appearances since joining QPR, Gladwin has suffered from a severe lack of opportunities to the point that Gladwin has had to temporarily leave the club on a number of occasions in search of first team football.

The 24-year old midfielder has spent a number of loan spells away from the Championship side as he has returned to Swindon Town on two separate occasions, as well as spending a season on loan at at Bristol City.

The talented midfielder may feel that his career will continue to stagnate if he remains marginalised on the fringes of the Queens Park Rangers squad.

Instead, Gladwin may feel the need to leave on a permanent rather than temporary basis for the sake of his career.

Ariel Borysiuk

After joining Queens Park Rangers in the summer from Legia Warsaw, the signing was viewed as a major coup for the Championship side.

There was an expectation that the Polish international would play a major role in the heart of the midfield for QPR.

However, the 25-year-old central midfielder failed to live up to the expectations having only managed to make fourteen appearances in all competitions for QPR this season.

The Polish midfielder appeared to struggle to adapt to life in England and Ian Holloway made the executive decision to allow him to return to Poland.

Ariel Borysiuk re-joined his former side Lechia Gdansk in the January transfer window with the loan lasting until the end of the season.

As Ian Holloway looks to shape his squad, it appears that Borysiuk is not part of his short term or long term plans and therefore he needs to leave at the end of the season for the sake of his career.
