Nottingham Forest face a difficult three-months, as they try to avoid getting pulled into a relegation battle in the Sky Bet Championship.

After a positive start to the season, the club were hit by the disappointing news that teenage star, Oliver Burke, would be leaving the club to join German side Red Bull Leipzig.

Forest’s season has not recovered since losing Burke on deadline-day, with the club continuing to slide down the Championship table.

In mid-January Fawaz Al-Hasawi lost patience with Philippe Montanier, and replaced him with Gary Brazil, who was handed the task of guiding Forest to safety.

Brazil saw an initial upturn in form, with the club winning three from four games, but results have again slipped and Forest now find themselves facing a relegation battle.

Forest are currently 18th in the Championship table and just six-points clear of the relegation zone.

With many disappointing performers within the Forest squad, we take a look at TWO of their weak-links this season…

Pajtim Kasami

The former Fulham midfielder simply has not looked up to scratch during his time at the City Ground.

The 24-year-old simply never seems to win his battles in the centre of midfield, and is clearly struggling to adapt to the rigours and demands of the Sky Bet Championship.

Undoubtedly a player who is a weak link in this current Forest side.

Nicklas Bendtner

Bendtner was mainly used during the first-half of the season as support for Forest’s top goal scorer Britt Assombalonga.

The former Arsenal striker has found the net on just two occasions this season, a disappointing return for a player that has played in some of Europe’s biggest competitions.

Ben Brereton has broken through during the second-half of the season, scoring two goals already, and Ross McCormack was a high profile signing during the January transfer window.

Both of these players have pushed Bendtner further out of the picture.

Whilst it isn’t solely Bendtner’s fault Forest are losing games, he has not offered enough support to Forest’s strikers over the course of the season.
