Leeds United have recently been linked with the signature of former player Jonny Howson.
The midfielder is a very popular figure at Elland Road, after making 185 appearances for the Whites in his 15-year stint with the club.
Howson, who turns 29 later this month, is a born-and-bred Leeds fan, and signed his first contract with the club in 1997, signing his first professional deal in 2006 before sealing a move to Norwich City in 2012.
The industrious midfielder, who turns 29 next week, would be a key asset for Garry Monk’s men, who endured a disappointing end to the 2016/17 Championship campaign, finishing 7th despite challenging for automatic promotion for a large majority of the season.
Recruitment has to be spot on if Leeds are to reignite yet another promotion push, and whilst Howson would be a magnificent coup, there is still work to be done.
And with 11 senior players recently being released by the Yorkshire club, there is likely to be a period of chopping and changing at Elland Road in the coming weeks.
With that being said, here, FLW writer George Harbey identifies TWO players that could potentially follow Jonny Howson to Leeds United this summer…
