For a second year running, Leeds United find themselves in the hunt for promotion in the Sky Bet Championship, with Thomas Christiansen the man tasked with delivering a Premier League return at Elland Road.

Leeds currently sit sixth in the Championship table, cautiously looking over their shoulder, but also knowing that a string of impressive results in the coming weeks could put them into automatic promotion contention.

Christiansen will be looking to strengthen his squad this month, and Leeds are reportedly edging closer to a deal to sign Laurens De Bock, who according to the Yorkshire Evening Post, is undergoing a medical ahead of the left-back’s proposed move from Club Brugge.

Others could follow De Bock to Elland Road, and with that in mind, we take a look at TWO players who could potentially follow the former Belgian youth international to Leeds this month, with well over half of the window remaining…

Adam Clayton

Despite finding the English market incredibly expensive, Leeds need to add some Championship experience to their squad and Clayton could be a shrewd addition.

The central midfielder has fallen out of favour at Middlesbrough and could be available for either a loan or a permanent deal.

Leeds have already been linked with a move for Clayton, who would add a competitive option alongside the likes of Eunan O’Kane, Ronaldo Vieira and Kalvin Phillips.

Jack Marriott

Marriott is in incredible form for Peterborough United, and outside the Championship, he is the lower league’s most impressive striker.

Leeds need a new talisman, with Chris Wood never properly replaced at Elland Road, and if the Whites can strike a deal for the 23-goal striker, it would be some coup.

The 23-year-old is hot property this month and would cost, but he could be the answer to Leeds’ goalscoring problems.
