Aston Villa have picked up the pace somewhat since Steve Bruce took the reigns and they now find themselves sitting in 14th place in the Sky Bet Championship table, after picking up just four wins from the opening sixteen league games.

January is fast approaching and is likely that Steve Bruce is wanting to put his own stamp on this Villa squad.

Recent reports in the media have linked him with a move for impressive Brighton midfielder Beram Kayal, someone who would certainly be a good addition to the Villa midfield.

Lukasz Teodorczyk

Recent reports in the Daily Star have linked Villa with a January move for Lukasz Teodorczyk who is a highly rated striker that is currently enjoying a loan spell with Anderlecht for whom he has been in terrific form, netting a remarkable 9 times in 12 appearances.

The 25-year-old parent club is Dynamo Kyiv and it appears they will be inundated with offers for the frontman in January, as plenty of clubs begin to circle to secure the Polish international's services.

Teodorczyk previously represented Polonia Warsaw and Lech Poznan back in his home country of Poland before signing for the Ukrainian side, and it appears very likely that the hotshot striker could be arriving on our shores very soon.

Jai Quitongo

The Daily Mail have reported that Steve Bruce is chasing Greenock Morton man Jai Quitongo and that a permanent transfer in this January transfer window is a real possibility.

However, the report also states that Premier League clubs such as West Ham United, Swansea City and Crystal Palace are also in the hunt for the 19-year-old wideman, as well as fellow Championship side Wigan Athletic.

The midfielder is current playing for Scottish Championship side Greenock Morton, for whom he has made 18 appearances already, scoring twice in the process.

He has put in some real eye catching performances for the Scottish side which has led to numerous English clubs being attracted to the Scot.
