Aston Villa look like they will be heading for the play-offs in the Sky Bet Championship, with Steve Bruce’s side well in the hunt for a Premier League return.

Bruce’s side still have an outside chance of automatic promotion, but realistically, the play-offs are looking like the route Villa will have to take to get back to the top-flight.

All Villa’s effort over the coming weeks will be on delivering that Premier League return, but reports in the national media suggest some attention is beginning to turn to the summer transfer window.

According to the Sun, Axel Tuanzebe, who is currently on-loan at Villa Park from Manchester United, looks set to re-sign for the Villans in the summer on another temporary contract.

The versatile defender hasn’t featured regularly since his January move to the Midlands, but whatever division Villa find themselves in next season, it is expected he will return.

With that in mind, we take a look at TWO others we are expecting to see follow Tuanzebe to Villa Park…

Like Tuanzebe, Johnstone is on-loan at Villa Park from Manchester United, with the goalkeeper enjoying a fine season.

Johnstone has conceded just 40 goals so far this season, helping Villa to one of the Championship’s best defensive records.

Bruce will be desperate to get the ever-present goalkeeper back next year, and it is likely that it will be one of the first deals he targets in the summer.

Grabban is making some impact at Villa Park on-loan, scoring the goals to keep Villa’s promotion push on track.

The forward arrived in January on-loan from AFC Bournemouth and is doing his chances of earning a permanent deal no harm at all.

If the 30-year-old keeps up this level of performance, Bruce will be desperate to get him back through the door in summer.
