Marcelo Bielsa seems to be planning some January additions to his squad, as they look to strengthen the depth in the Leeds squad as they mount a serious challenge for promotion this season.

Leeds are currently sat 3rd in the Championship table, and are just three points behind league-leaders, Norwich City heading into this weekends set of fixtures.

But even after their impressive start to the season, they have a growing injury list to deal with, and the Leeds boss already has his first signing lined up.

Tom Heaton has fallen out of favour at Burnley and TEAMtalk have recently reported that he could be set to join Leeds in January to find regular first-team football.

This latest rumour will please Leeds supporters, many of whom would hope that Heaton could push the under-fire Bailey Peacock-Farrell for a starting spot.

Second-choice goalkeeper Jamal Blackman has been sidelined for the rest of the season after picking up a nasty looking injury in an under 23's mach during the international break.

But who could follow Heaton to Elland Road in January when the transfer window reopens?

Piazon has recently been linked to promotion rivals, Derby County, but Marcelo Bielsa should certainly be looking to bring the Brazilian to Leeds in January.

His creativity behind Kemar Roofe would be a lethal combination going forward for Leeds, and he could be the difference in their promotion challenge.

The Swansea captain has been crucial to their bid for an immediate return to the Premier League, following relegation last season.

The Swans have only conceded 13 goals so far this season and Van Der Hoorn has been one of the standout performers for Graham Potter's side.

Marcelo Bielsa could be tempted to bring the towering centre-back to Elland Road to help aid his defensive crisis with a number of first-team players currently sidelined.
