Leeds United have had a good season in the Championship this season under Garry Monk, finishing seventh and narrowly missing out on the play-offs.

The Yorkshire outfit won 22 of their 46 league games, but missed on the play-offs by five points, and will be looking ahead to a summer of building on solid foundations, and hoping that next time round they can go one step further and guarantee themselves a spot in the play-offs.

Leeds biggest problem this season has been the amount of goals they have scored.

They only managed to the find the back of the net on 61 occasions and with teams around them out scoring them, this will be something Monk and the Leeds board will want to address this summer.

With Chris Wood finishing top scorer in the league with an impressive 27 goals, Monk will have to look to bring some added firepower in to help support Wood, and help Leeds achieve there long term aim of getting promoted back to the Premier League.

Here are TWO players that could help the cause....

Robbie Keane

The Irish striker is no stranger to Leeds fans having played for the club in 2001.

Now a free agent Keane, 36, will be looking for one last club before hanging up his boots and a move back to Yorkshire could definitely happen.

Having found the net 83 times in 125 games for LA Galaxy, Keane still has an eye for goal and if he could find some of that form in the Championship, he could certainly be a huge help to Leeds' promotion push.

Max Gradel

The Ivory Coast star told BBC Sport that he wants to leave AFC Bournemouth, after making just 11 starts in all competitions this season.

Gradel who played for Leeds between 2010 and 2011 before moving to St Etienne, wants to play more first team football and a move to Elland Road, would be of benefit to both Gradel and Leeds alike.

Having found the net 22 times in first spell with Leeds, and then going on to score 31 goals in 101 games for St Etienne, it is clear to see that Gradel is a goal scorer, but not only can he score goals he can also provide them for his team mates, as he can play on the wing as well as up top.
