These 2 matches will seriously make or break Huddersfield’s season

In what has been a season to remember for Huddersfield Town, David Wagner’s side sits third in the table behind only Newcastle United and Brighton & Hove Albion.

After a blistering start to the season, many predicted that Huddersfield’s form would dip and they would eventually drop down the table.

However, David Wagner has instilled an inner belief and a consistency which has seen them competing at the top of the Championship for the entirety of the season.

On paper, Huddersfield should be much lower in the table, however, the West Yorkshire side have been a surprise package who have emerged seemingly out of nowhere as one of the favourites to gain promotion to the Premier League.

Despite the disappointing defeat to Newcastle United, automatic promotion remains in reach for the West Yorkshire if they can better the results of Brighton over the remainder of the season.

However, there are some crunch games in the run-in which could play a massive role in deciding who earns automatic promotion and who has to settle for the playoffs.

FLW writer Elliott Wheat-Bowen looks at two matches that will seriously make or break Huddersfield Town’s season.
