The Sky Bet Championship returns tomorrow evening with a mouth-watering contest taking place at Elland Road, as Leeds United entertain Aston Villa.

Both Leeds and Villa have promotion ambitions this season, with the Championship rivals hopeful of returning to the Premier League, where both feel they belong.

Leeds have endured a mixed start to the season, but Thomas Christiansen’s side enter the contest in eighth, having responded brilliantly following the international break, picking up six points from three fixtures.

Last weekend saw Leeds sweep aside Barnsley at Oakwell thanks to goals from Samuel Saiz and Ezgjan Alioski, and after such a commanding 2-0 victory, the likelihood is we will see Christiansen turn to a similar starting XI tomorrow evening, when fourth placed Aston Villa visit Elland Road.

Leeds are without the injured Stuart Dallas and Pierre-Michel Lasogga tomorrow, but Christiansen will still have a pool of talented players to turn to if things are not going right for his starting XI.

With that in mind, here is a look at TWO players who could make an impact from the bench…

Hadi Sacko

Last season, both home and away, Sacko caused Aston Villa problems, with the winger’s pace constantly putting Leeds on the front foot.

Sacko, 23, is not likely to gain an opportunity in the starting XI, but a couple of key injuries could mean he is named amongst the substitutes.

The Frenchman has pace to burn, and if Leeds need to switch the momentum of tomorrow’s clash at any point, his introduction could be key.

Sacko offers something different to the rest of Christiansen’s squad, and last season’s impact will be worth keeping in mind.

Kemar Roofe

Roofe was another who impressed last season against Villa, but unlike Sacko, he remains in contention for a starting berth this season.

However, after Leeds’ impressive win at Barnsley without Roofe, the likelihood is the 24-year-old will be on the bench.

Roofe has the ability to play anywhere across the frontline for Leeds, and with a number of key injuries to attacking players, the forward could gain an opportunity off the bench at some point tomorrow.
