Leeds United were thumped 3-0 by Wolverhampton Wanderers on Wednesday evening to continue their poor run of just one win in six games.

The Whites were the early season pace setters in the Sky Bet Championship and earlier on in the campaign it looked as though 2017/18 might be a productive one for the West Yorkshire-based club.

Fast forward six months however and yet another manager has bitten the Elland Road dust in Thomas Christiansen, with the Danish boss being replaced by Paul Heckingbottom, who is now tasked with the ultimate goal of returning Premier League football to the club.

In order for the ex-Barnsley boss to bring the glory days back to the fallen giants it seems likely that he will need some reinforcements during the summer months and that could spell the end of the road for some of the current crop.

FLW writer Lee Clarke looks at two players in particular who will cast themselves extremely fortunate to still be at Leeds United next season...

The German goalkeeper was signed by Leeds United during the summer but it is safe to say that his quality between the posts has left a lot to be desired during his maiden season.

The 27-year-old has made a string of errors for the club and it would represent no surprise at all should boss Heckingbottom look towards securing the services of a more proven Championship custodian during the summer.

The Irish midfielder has played pretty frequently for Leeds United this season but his performances in the middle of the park have been questionable at very best.

With players like Adam Forshaw now on the books at Elland Road it seems highly likely that the club will look to add a bit more quality in the middle of the park next season, which could mean curtains for O'Kane.

Leeds United fans, do you agree that the two players should be fearful of their futures at Leeds United? Let us know in the comments below!!!
