Thomas Christiansen deserves huge credit for the job he has done at Leeds United, helping the club into top-six contention once again this season, despite a sea of key departures over the course of the summer.

Of course, Leeds strengthened, but without the likes of Chris Wood, Kyle Bartley and Charlie Taylor, Christiansen’s task was made significantly harder.

Leeds have so far used a small pool of players to mount their challenge on the top-six, with Christiansen’s squad lacking depth in certain areas, which is sure to be addressed during the January transfer window.

There are plenty of youngsters at Elland Road who find themselves on the fringe of the first-team, and there is every chance that when the January transfer window comes around, they will be handed an opportunity away from Leeds on-loan, as Christiansen strengthens the key areas of his team.

With that in mind, here is a look at TWO players who should be pushing for a loan move…

Jay-Roy Grot

Grot arrived at Elland Road during the summer, but has been disappointing when handed a first-team opportunity.

The Dutch youngster lacks confidence, and is in desperate need of a run of games at any level.

Strikers often get their confidence by scoring goals, and with Grot finding minutes hard to come by, he is yet to find the back of the net for Leeds.

A January move seems logical for all parties involved.

Bailey Peacock-Farrell

There is high hope for the young goalkeeper at Elland Road, despite the 21-year-old making just one senior appearance for Leeds.

Peacock-Farrell is behind Felix Wiedwald and Andy Lonergan at Elland Road, and has already spent time away from Leeds on-loan this season.

However, with first-team opportunities still looking limited, Peacock-Farrell should be pushing for another loan move as he searches for his big break.
