It's all falling to place this season for Huddersfield Town, having mounted a strong promotion push for much of the season, they may have to succeed in the play-offs if they want Premier League football to become a reality.

Whilst David Wagner's side have impressed this season, Huddersfield Town have maintained a small core of first team players which have been rotated but the wider peripheral players are becoming less frequently used.

This might lead to the sale of certain players to lower league teams so that they can reignite their stalling career.

For instance, Scottish defender Murray Wallace couldn't cut it in the second tier and was subsequently sold to Scunthorpe United in League One - this was two years ago.

It is most definitely not unheard of and a large number of footballers will realise that if they can't cut it in the Championship then moving down a division is possibly the best thing to do.

Here are TWO Huddersfield Town players who need to downgrade and move down a league.

Harry Bunn

The former Manchester City youth player hasn't had it all his way since signing for Huddersfield Town on a permanent basis back in 2014 with just 17 appearances for the Terriers this campaign.

Harry Bunn, for an attacking player, doesn't have the greatest goal scoring ratio either as he has bagged 15 goals for the club in just under 100 games, and that will be one of the reasons why first team action isn't a regular occurrence for the 24-year-old.

During his time at City, Bunn spent loan spells at League One sides Rochdale, Crewe Alexandra, Oldham Athletic and Sheffield United.

I think he found his level there and the Championship was just a step too far.

Dean Whitehead

An experienced name in the second tier, it's time for Dean Whitehead to call it a day in the Championship and move down a division as he clearly isn't getting much game time at the minute with promotion chasers Huddersfield Town.

The 35-year-old has been limited to just 17 appearances for the Terriers this season despite being named in the match day squad 35 times, proving that the only reason why Whitehead is still there is to provide extra depth.

I wouldn't call it a day altogether if I was him because he still has the ability for a couple more years but I think to prolong his retirement a drop down to League One is best, and there would definitely be several potential suitors wanting his signature.

Huddersfield supporters, would you say these two need to drop a league? Is there anyone else who could follow? Give us your thoughts in the comments below!
