Brighton and Hove Albion have been having a tremendous season once again under Chris Hughton, and he could well be the man to guide them to the Premier League for the first time.

The Seagulls were battered in midweek by an impressive Huddersfield Town side, but will be hoping to bounce back and maintain the pressure at the top of the league on Newcastle.

It was a quiet January in the main for Hughton, with the permanent addition of Glenn Murray the biggest signing to come through the door at the AMEX.

With the window now closed, one thing Hughton could look to do is look into the free agency market, where he might look to sign one of many quality players in the free transfer market without a club.

With this in mind, FLW writer Lee Connor takes a look at TWO free agents who Brighton could sign to bolster their promotion bid...

Joey O'Brien

The full back is a versatile defender who could offer something to any Championship club.

He has plenty of  Premier League experience from his time with West Ham, and could well be someone who is worth a short term contract for Brighton.

Kieran Richardson

Another full back who has bags of top level experience and could add to the squad, is former Man United man Richardson.

He is not quite as quick as he once was, but his ability and experience is something which could add a positive to the Brighton squad.

Richardson has lost his way over the last couple of seasons, but still has something to offer if managed correctly.
