Rangers have had a pretty disappointing return to the Scottish Premier League, by their standards.
The Scottish giants are 11 points off league leaders and bitter rivals Celtic, who have a game in hand over their Old Firm rivals.
Mark Warburton’s side were expected to challenge closely along side the reigning champions, but are some way off being at that point.
They’ll certainly be looking to strengthen in January in order to make an attempt at catching them, as hard as that looks, and one player they’ve earmarked for a move is Reading prodigy Liam Kelly, who is turning heads at the Madejski Stadium.
Despite being on loan at Bath City last season, Kelly has impressed manager Jaap Stam since he came in over the summer, and has been promoted to the Royals first-team squad, with four appearances this season.
