Cardiff are under new management this season with Neil Warnock trying to fix the problems left by old manager Paul Trollope.

After finishing in a respectable 8th position last season under Russell Slade and they had a busy summer of business as new manager Paul Trollope brought in mostly free agents.

The most notable captures was Rickie Lambert but Neil Warnock added free agents such as Sol Bamba and Marouane Chamakh.

There were also plenty of departures with some deadwood cleared but key players that left like Fabio and Marshall have been missed this season.

Trollope got off to an appalling start as manager winning just 2 games out of 11 and he was promptly sacked.

Experienced Championship manager Neil Warnock was brought in to balance the side out and so far has had a decent return although there is still plenty of work to do.

There is a talented squad to work with though and here are 2 players that should be playing in the Premier League.

Anthony Pilkington

The talented Irish winger has been one of Cardiff's better players in the Championship since last season, consistently supplying excellent service down the right side.

Pilkington was key to Cardiff finishing 8th last season scoring 9 goals and getting plenty of assists and has 3 goals already this season.

Also with Rickie Lambert up front Pilkington has a talented striker to assist and he is a similar player to Norwich's Robbie Brady.

Bruno Ecuele Manga

The Gabonese international is one of the most underrated centre backs in the Championship.

Last season Cardiff were poor in front of goal but only conceded 51 goals which was amongst the lowest in the division.

Two seasons ago, Manga won the Player of the Season award.

It's the same story for Cardiff this year with just 9 goals but they have only conceded 14 with Manga forming a solid partnership with either Sol Bamba or Sean Morrison.
