Cardiff City endured a torrid start to the season, which saw them sitting in the bottom three and Paul Trollope lose his job as a result.

However, The Bluebirds had an upturn in form immediately after Neil Warnock arrived, which saw them go three games unbeaten, but they have since lost two in a row.

Warnock has added some free agents into his squad who have done well so far but, come January, he will be looking to put his own stamp on the team by bringing players in, and ultimately selling players.

He will most likely look to the fringe players in the squad when he decides who he will be selling. In Cardiff’s bid to avoid relegation, they can’t be carrying passengers, so it's likely that Warnock will have a mass clear out in January.

Here, FootballLeagueWorld writer Hayden Atkins identifies TWO fringe players who Warnock should offload…

Kenneth Zohore

Zohore did well for Cardiff at the back end of last season, but this season, he will most likely not feature much under Warnock.

The 6’3” striker isn’t the type of forward who Warnock would traditionally go for. Zohore isn’t someone who will run himself into the ground for the team, which is probably them main reason he should be offloaded.

Zohore signed a three-year deal in the summer under Trollope, but Warnock could look to cash in on him to reinvest the money in other areas of the team.

Declan John

John broke onto the scene in their maiden Premier League season, and much was made of the youngster and the potential he had.

However, he has failed to live up to that potential, and he has spent time on loan at Barnsley and Chesterfield over the past two years. Since coming back, he doesn’t seem to have vastly improved, so he could struggle to get in the starting eleven.

Warnock brought in Kieran Richardson to fill the left-back void, so Warnock clearly doesn’t have much faith in John or else he wouldn’t have signed Richardson.
