Bristol City are enduring a difficult spell at the minute under the guidance of manager Lee Johnson, with the club sitting a measly one place and two points above the dreaded relegation zone.

The Robins did start the season with signs of prosperity, promise and potential but that has seemingly vanished and now the team see themselves in a scrap at the bottom of the Championship.

City's last five matches, which have all come in February, has seen them pick up one victory, two draws and the same number of defeats.

A win over foot-of-the-table Rotherham United was followed by an exciting 3-3 score line at Derby County.

Losses to Leeds United and Fulham came after that before their draw to Newcastle on Saturday.

A mixed bag of results has meant boss Johnson has had to shuffle the squad at Ashton Gate, and a number of first-team members have either completely been pushed out of the matchday side or can consider themselves lucky to be on the bench.

Here are TWO Bristol City players who need to leave this summer for the sake of their careers....

Frank Fielding

The goalkeeper has been forced to play second fiddle since the arrival of German man Fabian Giefer on loan in January.

Frank Fielding has been number one choice at Ashton Gate for several years, establishing his spot in their promotion season from League One, racking up over 100 appearances during his four years there.

The former Derby County 'keeper hasn't played a match since mid-January in their FA Cup win over third-tier outfit Fleetwood Town.

The 28 year-old has clearly been replaced and even with a loanee goalkeeper, Lee Johnson, if he's still in charge, may look for a permanent signing in that position over the course of the summer.

For the future of Fielding and his career, a move away would definitely save him.

Marlon Pack

Marlon Pack may have featured on 28 separate occasions for Bristol City, but in recent months his game time under Lee Johnson has been limited following his January transfer business.

The 25 year-old midfielder arrived from Cheltenham Town in the summer of 2013 and has gone on make over 130 appearances for the Robins since.

Pack is struggling with the intensity this season and can usually find himself lucky to be given a spot on the bench, although he does usually come on at some point.

The Portsmouth-born player may want a change of scenery and more importantly a regular place in the starting eleven, so a departure in the summer will definitely save his career.

Bristol City supporters, do you agree? Is Frank Fielding likely to re-gain his place next year? Will Marlon Pack find a way into the first eleven players? Who else need to save their careers by leaving? Tell us your thoughts in the comments below!
