Birmingham City finally have something to smile about after a dismal last two months to their campaign, which saw just one victory before this weekend's set of matches.

The Blues, guided under Gianfranco Zola, enjoyed their second win under the Italian since his appointment in December having overcome rivals Wolverhampton Wanderers at Molineux, in a 2-1 scoreline to lift Birmingham away from a potential relegation scrap.

In the last five games, the Championship club have recorded two victories and three defeats.

In that period they have had to endure damaging defeats to Sheffield Wednesday, Preston North End and Queens Park Rangers, but not all is down as they currently lie 12 points above the drop.

Some members of the first-team have been given another chance to prove themselves under Zola, whilst others have either been frozen out of the squad or sit on the fringes where they can count themselves lucky to get a minute on the pitch.

Here's 2 Birmingham City players who need to leave this summer for the sake of their footballing careers......

Jacques Maghoma

The 29- year-old was a prominent member of the Birmingham City squad before he left for Gabon, to play for the Democratic Republic of Congo in the African Cup of Nations, and since returning hasn't made a single appearance for the Blues.

Jacques Maghoma signed a new two-year deal last year to commit his future to the Midlands outfit, although his time at the club may be in jeopardy as Gianfranco Zola does not seem to fancy the winger.

Whether he is injured or not, Maghoma isn't getting any younger and at his age will definitely need to a change of scene for fresh ideas, a new approach to his game.

I highly recommended to save his career, a move has to be on the cards at the end of the season.

Clayton Donaldson

Clayton Donaldson has been pushed out of the picture at St. Andrew's, following the arrival of Lukas Jutkiewicz and his time at Birmingham seems to be over.

The forward has been round the blocks during his career, but at the age of 33m, he'll be looking to still bang in the goals and if that's not happening at the Blues then a move is highly likely.

Donaldson has featured during his side's 2-1 victory over Ipswich Town in December, in which he scored, and that period without playing just proves Gianfranco Zola's thoughts on the striker.

Birmingham fans, do you agree? Has Zola's overhaul pushed Maghoma and Donaldson out of the team? Who else needs to save their careers by leaving this summer? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below!
