Millwall know the importance of what an up-turn in form can do going into the New Year.

Just look at last season when, thanks to the help of a 17-match unbeaten run, they were able to finish eighth after being in a similar position to where they are now.

Fast forward 12 months and it has been harder to adjust to a second season in the Championship, with Neil Harris needing to prove his worth all over again after a stellar few years in charge.

The New Year will be important for the club to progress on the pitch.

Strengthening in any and every window is important, especially when managers up and down the land, and more specifically Harris, need to do so to improve their side – it is a constant process.

So, with the New Year brings new challenges and new opportunities to address the wrongs of the previous half of the campaign, and look to learn and improve on and off the pitch.

With that said, these TWO additions will give Millwall the perfect start to 2019...

Having been on loan at Millwall for the second half of last season, his influence was supremely effective to their Lions’ climb up the league.

A permanent switch to Norwich has not worked out as he would have liked and a move back to London, albeit temporarily, could see him get regular game time once more, and help to try and mirror his effect last year.

Millwall have somewhat of a goalkeeping issue this term with Jordan Archer making costly errors on a semi-regular basis and Ben Amos, while performing well, has not been outstanding too often.

Keiren Westwood is out of favour at Sheffield Wednesday and is out of contract in the summer, and could be the ideal fit to solve the Lions’ goalkeeping woe as of late.

Bringing in the Republic of Ireland international could be a masterstroke, should Neil Harris move for him.
