Millwall have had a mixed start to the season, currently sitting 14th in the Championship after four matches.

Lions manager Neil Harris continues to scour the loan market on the look out for players to supplement his squad.

Would 18-year-old defender Ben Wilmot from Watford be a player they need to consider?

So should Harris push to sign Wilmot?

We discuss.....

Jay Williams

Wilmot is a fantastic prospect at the back but he has only played a handful of League Two games in his career.

The young defender needs time to learn his trade out on loan, but would Millwall be the right environment for him?

Wilmot is unlikely to start ahead of Shaun Hutchinson and Liam Cooper - one of the most established centre-half partnerships in the league.

The former Stevenage defender is better off keeping his place in Watford's youth team for now or joining a League One side on loan.

Gary Hutchinson

There’s no value in this for me.

Wilmot is going to be a good player, but I’m not sure he’d get into the current Millwall side.

He’s not got enough experience and his next loan should be League One.

Get 30 games at that level under his belt and he might be ready to step up, not before.

George Dagless

Potentially.

They need a new full-back to come in and Wilmot is obviously a bright option in that role.

He isn't going to play for Watford much yet but playing at Millwall's level would certainly be good for him.
