New Ipswich Town manager Paul Lambert will be under no illusions as to the task ahead of him, with his side rooted firmly to he bottom of the Championship with only one win to their name all season.

Lambert has spoken to the East Anglian Daily Times and hinted that he believes that his squad is a little bit unbalanced and though there is little he can do currently with regard to recruitment as its stands, he hopes to bring in new blood in the January window.

So is Lambert correct in his assessment of his squad?

We discuss.....

Gary Hutchinson

Of course, they’re bottom aren’t they?

There’s clearly something wrong.

The lower league players haven’t gelled, there’s a lack of experience and belief.

He’s got a big job on his hands.

Louie Chandler

I don't think I do.

Of course, it depends on the formation he wants to employ, but if you look at Ipswich's side there is a pretty even spread in each position.

He may think it is unbalanced in terms of Championship.

Jay Taylor

I think so - I don’t think it is a question of the players they have at their disposal, I think feel that Paul Hurst’s recruitment was naive.

He had a little bit of money - not a lot - to spend and that is more than he was used to at Shrewsbury.

Paul Lambert just needs two or three additions to rebalance the side and then they should be alright.

He has seen that in just over two weeks so he clearly knows what he is talking about.
