We do not have long to wait now until the biggest match in the Football League calendar kicks off at Wembley.

This season sees Derby County take on Aston Villa after the pair saw off Leeds United and West Brom in their respective semi-finals to earn a showdown for a Premier League place.

It is a tie that it difficult to call and really could go either way with both team's boasting impressive attacks as well as organised defences.

There are plenty of stories for the media to sink their teeth into ahead of the match too with John Terry and Frank Lampard's presence in each dug-out no doubt adding some intrigue for the Chelsea fans.

But how will it play out? What should we be looking for? And how will it finish?

Tackling today's six-point opinion is Louie Chandler...

1) Who will be the key man for Aston Villa?

"I think it could be John McGinn.

"Villa's midfield is where they have a real advantage over Derby and if McGinn is at his best I really think Bradley Johnson or whoever is tasked with marking him will struggle.

"When he is at his best it allows Grealish to do more damage as well."

2) Who will be the key man for Derby?

"It's got to be Jack Marriott.

"Whilst there were plenty of impressive Derby performances in their second leg against Leeds it was Marriott's introduction that changed the game.

"Berardi and Cooper did not have a clue how to deal with his constant pressure and if he can do the same to Mings and Tuanzebe then it could swing the match in their favour.

"Having 10 goals in his last 16 games of knockout football has got to make him the danger man as well."

3) Which on field battle will be the most important?

"As alluded to above I think it could be the battle in midfield.

"Stopping McGinn and Grealish from operating is about as hard a task as they come in the second tier but it has been done before and Derby will take heart from that.

"If they can stop the pair from doing what they do best then it will be the Rams' match for the taking."

4) Who needs to win more?

"I think Villa need it more.

"They are a team whose fans have demanded a return to the Premier League ever since their relegation was confirmed and the way they are set up at the moment demands promotion.

"If they do not go up this year they will not be able to hang onto the likes of Mings, Tuanzebe or Abraham and will be vulnerable to losing Grealish as well.

"Derby will be well ahead of where they intended to be at this stage."

5) What do previous meetings tell us?

"They tell us that Derby tend to get overawed when faced with this Villa side.

"They were beating convincingly twice by Dean Smith's side in pre-season and that is something they will have to get over if they are going to win on Monday.

"But Leeds seemed to have a similar hold over Derby as well but they broke that spell emphatically so I would not rule out them doing it again."

6) Who will come out on top?

"I fancy Derby to come out on top.

"It will be very close and I think there will be a lot goals but I think that Rams attack, when they click, are as good as anyone in the league.

"With Marriott and Mount in top form and Wilson able to win a game from nowhere I think it will be a special day for Derby."
