Stoke City's record signing Gianelli Imbula could be set to finally secure a permanent exit away from the club as Lokomotiv Moscow look to finalise a deal for the midfielder.

The ex-Porto man joined the Potters in the winter window in 2016 and arrived with a big reputation given his cost and how he'd played in Portugal and also for Marseille.

However, his move did not work out at all. Imbula struggled in England and failed to justify his hefty price tag, whilst he has spent the past few years out on loan as Stoke dropped to the Championship.

Therefore, fans will be pleased that reports from France have suggested he will join Loko and the 27-year-old will not be remembered fondly by the Staffordshire club.

Unfortunately for the Potters, he is by no means the only flop in recent years and FLW reporter Chris Gallagher asked the Stoke City News and Gossip Facebook Group for some of the most underwhelming signings in the past decade.

Do you know where these 15 ex-Stoke City players are playing now?

As you would expect, Imbula was mentioned and here we look at some of the other comments...

Warwick Clay: Wimmer should be locked up for even describing himself as a footballer.

Lea Fulcher: Why do people keep saying he’s wasting his talent? Played one good game in 5?years! So 0% talent.

Andrew Howe: Wimmer wasn't needed. Imbula, wasted talent and application. Berahino, loser.

Robert Turner: Take your pick, recruitment a joke. So surprised Mr Coats has allowed it to happen???

Jason Pate: There is only one answer to this and it’s Wimmer by some margin. This is to do with his price tag, lack of game time for Spurs, his lack of mobility...I could go on.

Andy Slee: Wimmer worse. At least Imbula looks half decent, although not bothered.

Arthur Burgess: Wimmer, Beŕahino, Imbula.
