Queens Park Rangers have had an impressive resurgence over recent weeks and midfielder Ebere Eze has been one of the standout men during that time.

The 20-year-old has impressed and dazzled with his quick feet, impressive passing and goalscoring record.

He bagged his third of the season on Wednesday as QPR made it three wins out of their last four games with one draw against Birmingham wedged in there as well.

It was revealed today that, as is inevitably the case, that some of the Premier League big boys had begun sniffing around the youngster, with the Evening Standard revealing that Liverpool are interested in signing him.

If the Reds are to land him however they will have to fend off competition from the likes of Crystal Palace, Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester City.

But would he be a good signing for Jurgen Klopp's side?

We discuss...

Alfie Burns

You can see why Liverpool are interested in Eze, who is impressing in the Championship.

However, I doubt Anfield is the best place for the QPR youngster and whether Liverpool actually need him.

The Reds have a number of exciting talent in their academy already and should be focusing on developing that.

George Harbey

Liverpool have some fine young English players in their ranks, and Eze could be one for the future for sure.

Rhian Brewster and Dom Solanke have made a few appearances off the bench from time to time, whilst former Charlton defender Joe Gomez has nailed himself down as Van Dijk’s defensive partner in recent weeks, and there is no reason why Eze can’t break into the first time in the coming years either.

Chris Gallagher

I don't think it's the right move for the player.

You can see why Liverpool want Eze as he is a superb talent and the chance to work with Jurgen Klopp will surely appeal.

However, realistically the 20-year-old needs to keep playing regularly and that won't happen at Anfield. He'd be a good signing for the Reds but he'd have to be patient to wait for his first-team chance.

There are shades of Sterling here.

Raheem joined the Reds at a much younger age, of course, and Eze isn't at his level yet but he might be tempted by this path.

He'd not play much football looking at their attack, though, so it might not be as profitable as it was for Sterling.

QPR shouldn't sell, it is as simple as that.

I've slated them this season, not least for letting Ryan Manning go, but their young players are growing in stature and they're looking to become a decent side.
