Sunderland's season reached a new low on Tuesday night as they fell to a 2-1 defeat against Burton Albion.

That result meant that it's now just two wins in 11 games for Phil Parkinson since he took charge of the club

Not only that, but the defeat against the Brewers looks to have had a a real impact on the Black Cats' standing in League One.

Parkinson's side have now dropped to 11th place in the league, and while they're three points off the play-offs, they're also nine points off their original target of the top two.

But it gets worse, still.

Sunderland fanzine Roker Report shared a shocking statistic that said that the Wearsiders are now closer to the relegation zone than they are to the top of the league.

The Black Cats are currently 14 points behind League One leaders Wycombe Wanderers, while only 13 points ahead of 21st place MK Dons.

Supporters weren't entirely happy with the statistic and took to social media to share their thoughts.

Here's what they had to say.
