Two time European Cup winners Nottingham Forest have spent the last five years in the second tier of English football, with the club having a mixed period during that time.
The club have come close to reaching the play-offs during that spell but also have spent time occupying mid-table, which has frustrated the fans.
The transfer embargo handed to the club has prevented the team from developing the way they would have liked, but Dougie Freedman has been able to overcome some tough obstacles in his time and provide the best amount of stability possible.
During those five years, the City Ground has seen some good talents including the likes of Britt Assombalonga, Andy Reid and Henri Lansbury, however there have been quite a few players deemed not fit to wear the famous shirt.

Karl Darlow
The young goalkeeper has found himself at Newcastle in a joint deal with Jamaal Lascelles.
While Darlow was young, Forest must have jumped at that offer with the goalkeeper prone to an error.
While the keeper equally made some great saves in his time, Darlow started costing Forest points towards the end of his spell and with Dorus De Vries sitting on the bench, selling Darlow looked a great bit of business by the club.
Danny Fox
Signed from Southampton, Fox arrived with pedigree in terms of achieving promotion with Southampton to the Premier League. A
fter making a loan switch permanent, Fox had nailed down the left back position but he would lose this position after a series of poor performances, often highlighted as the weak link in the starting XI.
Despite having a transfer embargo, the left back fails to make the squad and has had his position often taken by a natural right back in Eric Lichaj.
Jamaal Lascelles
Another player who has joined Newcastle.
The academy product impressed initially and forced his way into the team.
His psychical attributes meant that Lascelles had all the potential to play at a high level, which he now does.
But surely to the bemusement of the City Ground faithful as last season he would often be dazzled by opposing forwards.
His time at Newcastle has shown that when he gets a rare appearance.
Kelvin Wilson
Wilson has had two spells with the club and is currently in the Reds squad.
After impressing in his first spell and initially in his return to the City Ground, Wilson could now be described as a complete liability with mistakes costing Dougie Freeman dearly of late.
However he still manages to appear in the team despite this although this is mainly due to injuries.
A fully fit Matt Mills and Jack Hobbs should mean Forest fans don't have to endure too many more poor performances from Wilson this season.
Dan Harding
Now playing for Eastleigh, Harding also arrived from Southampton and operates as a full back.
Harding made over 50 appearances for the club during a three-year spell.
He would often get exposed down the left hand side and his distribution from left back was poor, meaning he was subject to disgruntlement from the Forest supporters.
Djamel Abdoun
Abdoun came with a good reputation having signed from Olympiakos in 2013.
The flamboyant winger was unpredictable and had the eye for the spectacular, however he was also deemed unreliable and slowly lost his way, resulting in the Algerian being told he should find another club.
His contract was eventually mutually terminated after the winger failed to settle into the Championship, meaning it was a case of a talented player not fulfilling his potential.
Abdoun now plays for Greek side Veria.
Nathaniel Chalobah
A very talented young player who now finds himself at Napoli but Nottingham Forest was not the right fit for the Chelsea youngster.
Billy Davies couldn't get the best out of the midfielder which eventually meant his loan spell was not extended past January.
He instead went on loan to Middlesbrough where he improved and showcased his talents.
Chalobah has a relaxed style of play which relies on technique and creativity.
These may not have been desirable characteristics for Davies at the time as some managers prefer more hard working central midfielders.
Jonathan Greening
Greening signed from Fulham for an undisclosed fee, linking up with manager Steve McClaren.
These were not the finest years of Greening's career, with a loan move to Barnsley during his time evidence that he failed to make a good impact at the club.
Greening was entering the final years of his career and this was also evident in his play, as he was often too slow to deal with the fast paced nature of the Championship.
Ishmael Miller
Signed for over a million from West Bromwich Albion, Miller frustrated the Nottingham Forest fans by not playing to his potential.
Miller is a beast of a player with great strength and decent speed, giving his all the possibilities to become a great striker, however he managed just three goals for the club, and was shipped out on loan to fellow Championship clubs where he proved to be more successful.
Miller was eventually released.
Lars Veldwijk
Signed for a fee of nearly £1 ,illion following a 30 goal season in the second division in Holland, a lot was expected of the 6 foot 5 inch striker.
This signing was however a flop and Veldwijk failed to even get a spell in the starting 11.
In fairness, he didn't gain many opportunites to turn his fortunes around but even with his limited game time, he contributed next to nothing for the team.
He has however done well again at another club with Veldwijk currently out on loan at PEC Zwolle.
Rafik Djebbour
Signed from Olympiakos, Nottingham Forest were hoping they had found a new goal machine.
However this deal did not generate any success as Djebbour only managed one goal in his time, which was a fortunate tap in.
The Algerian international was dropped from the team due to a lack of effort in training and this eventually lead to his contract being mutually terminated.
