Nottingham Forest feel like they’ve been in the Championship for a lifetime now, with various managers looking to lead the Reds back to the Premier League this millennium.

Currently, the man in the hotseat looking to do that is Sabri Lamouchi, who, in fairness, adapted well to the club’s demands and the Championship during its first month.

The core group of players he inherited are still about, whilst he’s added a splash of talent here and there to give the side a bit more about them.

However, he still has a massive squad on his hands, which has been the case at Forest for a good few managers now.

That, obviously, has meant some poor players have been kicking around the City Ground.

Here, we attempt to put together a worst XI…

Stojkovic has been one of the many goalkeepers to pass through the club in recent seasons, with a poor record to match.

In 21 appearances, he conceded 40 goals, which speaks for itself.

The defender had a very pointless loan spell with Nottingham Forest in 2014, making just one appearance.

Many will have forgotten him by now.

Over a two year period, Lam managed only 19 appearances in the Championship, which interestingly brought two goals.

Nevertheless, he’s going to be a player fans want to forget.

Perquis was another defender to net two goals for Forest, this time in 17 appearances in the Championship.

However, he was part of a poor Forest squad and another to forget.

The 22-year-old arrived at Forest with so much potential, but he was a let down.

In 21 Championship appearances, the winger scored no goals and registered no assists.

There were some nice touches in the League Cup, but nothing to suggest his signing was anything of a success.

Greening is a well respected name across the EFL, mainly for his form with West Brom.

Forest never got the best of him in a three-year spell that involved him heading out to Barnsley on loan.

Famed for an extraordinary goal for Fulham in the Premier League, Forest looked like they might have a gem of a loan signing for 2016/17.

However, like so many, he let them down and didn't feature beyond February.

Another from 2016/17 and another to not show his best at the City Ground.

Six outings and only one assist doesn't make good reading.

There's a theme here - another from 2016/17!

The midfielder managed 10 league appearances for Forest, but scored just the one goal against Newcastle United.

He didn't feature after January 7th.

A loan spell in 2014 brought only one goal for Djebbour, who never really fit with Forest.

Strikers are there to score goals and the Frenchman just didn't bring that.

A much more recent player to pass through Forest is Leo Bonatini – the scorer of 12 goals as Wolves won promotion in 2017/18.

The Wolves forward arrived on loan last season, but failed to make an impact at the City Ground and didn’t return for a second spell.
