Leeds United continued their poor form after losing 1-0 to Aston Villa at Villa Park last night.

The Whites are still to win on the road in 2018, whilst Paul Heckingbottom has only managed two wins since taking over at the start of February from Barnsley.

And, his record in the past 28 games, taking into account games at Barnsley before he left for Elland Road, makes particularly grim reading, as the below stat shows.

Heckingbottom has only managed to record three wins in 28 games, collecting 18 points from a possible 85 in that time.

Such form will worry Leeds fans, who are already unhappy with the former Tykes boss for the performances as well as results.

The manager was also forced to comment after Football Insider claimed that the manager was going to lose his job, either now or at the end of the season, with Leeds already beginning the search for his replacement.

However, Heckingbottom insisted that the focus is already on next season and that he expects to still be in charge for the all-important summer recruitment.

The Verdict

That stat is very worrying for Heckingbottom and Leeds, as it offers little to suggest he will be able to turn things around.

Although, in fairness to the 40-year old, Barnsley haven't improved since he has left and the Leeds squad needs work on it.

Ultimately though, football is about results and unless they pick up very quickly then speculation around Heckingbottom's future is only going to increase with his record.
