It's been a tough start to proceedings this season for Birmingham City with them down near the bottom of the Championship table.

The men from St. Andrew's came into this season feeling confident of a play-off challenge but things have not got off to an ideal footing with disjointed performances yielding very little in the way of points.

However, Harry Redknapp feels that the squad will take some stopping once it clicks and it certainly still has the scope, and time, to make a good impression this season.

It's not quite time to panic, then, but the Blues' boss will want to avoid this record tonight against Leeds United at Elland Road - as per Goodbrand Stats on Twitter:

The Blues, then, will not be looking to emulate the days under Lee Clark who largely had a tough time with the club and saw them often relegation threatened.

Redknapp, of course, will still say it's early days and it is, but matching this record from three years ago certainly wouldn't be ideal - no matter at what point of the season we're in.

The Verdict

It's not been a good start for Birmingham, undoubtedly, and this stat highlights that but Redknapp is making the right noises and so a turnaround should be on the way.

For sure, some of the players the club has are of decent ilk for this division and so they'll be eager to prove that before too long - this game against Leeds is going to be tough though.
