Wolverhampton Wanderers have started the season extremely brightly since a summer of massive investment saw the first team squad at Molineux completely overhauled, and boss Nuno Santo will be delighted that his side lie in second place following the opening eleven rounds of fixtures.

The Black Country side have looked classy so far, and the influx of new players from across the continent have settled in the West Midlands extremely quickly, with many contributing to Wolves rapid rise up the table.

Breaking the Championship transfer record this summer will have put a large hole in the club’s coffers, and financial restrictions may prevent the club from emulating this summer’s window next year if they fail to secure promotion to the top flight.

With that in mind, FLW takes a look at some of the youngsters already on the books who could save the clubs millions in the transfer market in the coming years…

Connor Ronan

Ronan linked up with the Wolves academy in 2014 following a spell with Rochdale United, and the midfielder’s form in the various youth set-ups and reserves at the club have seen him elevated to the first team squad this season.

With three Championship appearances under his belt already this term, Ronan will hope for more consistent action as the season progresses, and it appears that manager Nuno Santo is willing to provide the youngster with opportunities.

Having received a call-up for the Irish U21 side, Ronan appears to have an international future to look forward to as well, and will hope to gain some valuable first team minutes to boost his chances of further caps.

Fans of the club are keen for Ronan to push on and break into the first team on a regular basis, and the Irishman certainly has the potential to do so at Molineux.

Bright Enobakhare

The Nigerian born youngster has established himself as a regular under Santo this season having broken into the first team at the club in 2015, and it appears that the 19-year-old has an extremely bright future at Molineux.

Having already made nine first team outings in the league this term, including five starts, Enobakhare will hope to push on in the coming months, and compete with the likes of Helder Costa and Diogo Jota for a start on the flanks.

Pacey and extremely tricky, the Nigerian has all the traits to become a top winger in this country, and Wolves could save a fortune in the market if this player develops into a star.

Jordan Graham

Currently on loan at Fulham, 22-year-old Graham has serious potential.

If he can impress during his loan spell with the Cottagers, then Graham will return to Molineux next season with a serious chance of challenging for a regular spot in the first team set-up.

A dangerous wide man with a wonderful delivery, Graham joined Wolves in 2015 after a thirteen year spell with local rivals Aston Villa, but his progress has been halted at the club by the arrivals of Helder Costa and Diogo Jota.

Play well at Fulham and rack up some stats, then Graham will elevate himself back into the plans of Santo, and could find himself playing Premier League football without even contributing to Wolves’ promotion push.
