Macclesfield Town fans will have a night they won't forget in a long time as they travel to the London Stadium to face Premier League side West Ham United in the Carabao Cup this evening.

The Silkmen have endured a difficult start to life in League Two following their promotion from the Vanarama National League last term, but have done exceptionally well in the Carabao Cup, and are in the third round of the competition for the first time in their history.

After wins over higher opposition in League One clubs Bradford City and Walsall, Mark Yates' men have been rewarded with a trip to West Ham United, as they prepare to face a Hammers side on a good run of form.

There are likely to be changes to Manuel Pellegrini's side, but after going 1-0 down inside the first two minutes in their last Carabao Cup match against AFC Wimbledon, this should prove to Pellegrini that the underdogs aren't just there to make up the numbers.

Here, we take a look at the West Ham side that Macclesfield are expected to face this evening...

With Lukasz Fabianski an everpresent in the Hammers net this term, tonight could provide the opportunity for Adrian to get some game time.

The 25-year old has made just three appearances for West Ham since his summer arrival from Fulham, and could look to replace Pablo Zabaleta tonight.

Diop has been in good form of late and could look to keep his place in the first team.

Ogbonna has been in and out of the Hammers squad this season, however should find it more than comfortable tonight.

Cresswell has been battling it out with Arthur Masuaku for the left-back position this season, and is a solid addition down the left hand side.

Rice has been exceptional this season under Pellegrini, and there should be no reason why he should be dropped tonight.

Obiang is another player who doesn't deserve to be dropped tonight, and will help in providing defensive steel to the spine of the team.

After impressing for the under-23s in recent times, Holland definitely deserves the chance to step into the first team against weak opposition tonight.

The £40million summer signing from Lazio, Anderson will be looking to score his first goal tonight in a game that really should be a walk in the park for the 25-year old.

Fresh off his two goals against Everton, Yarmelenko also deserves a run out and a chance to forget his dreaded miss against Chelsea at the weekend.

After reportedly refusing to warm up against Everton a couple of weeks back, tonight presents the perfect opportunity for Perez to impress to Pellegrini and score his first goal in the claret and blue.
