It's been a pretty poor campaign in the Championship for Norwich City, who have struggled for form during wide parts of the season which ultimately led to the sacking of Alex Neil a few weeks ago.

Norwich were widely expected to be one of the promotion chasers this season but a couple of poor runs of form has left them miles behind the current top-six, and another spell in the second-tier awaits next season.

It's set to be an even tougher campaign next time out too, with the three relegated Premier League teams to come and the likes of Aston Villa and Leeds both expected to be competing next season too.

And there's one man we'd like to see join the club over the summer months to give them a real push in the direction next season.

The man in question? £850,000-rated Ashley Fletcher, who is currently on the books at West Ham United.

The forward has struggled for first-team minutes this season and things don't look like changing anytime soon at the London Stadium.

The 21-year-old is at the stage in his career now where he needs to be playing regular game-time going forward, and moving down to the Championship might be the best chance for him to get his career back on track.

Norwich need more firepower next season if they're to challenge at the top-of-the-table, with many Canaries fans wanting Premier League football again sooner rather than later.

Fletcher is a pacy option who did seriously well during his time in the youth teams at Manchester United so it's clear that the quality is most certainly there.

But for both Norwich City and Fletcher, this is a move might work for the player and club.
