QPR have enjoyed an excellent season so far, with Steve McClaren's men sitting narrowly outside the play-offs.

That's even more remarkable when you take into account the awful start that the R's had made.

They seemed serious relegation candidates after the first few games of the season, with the 7-1 defeat at West Brom a particular low point.

However, they've bounced back superbly and whilst most fans probably don't think a top six finish is realistic, stranger things have happened.

But, January could be a problem for the former England manager.

Firstly, they have already accepted a transfer ban in the New Year and there are a lot of players that will be interesting others.

Here we look at TWO transfer developments that could shape their 2019...

The experienced full-back has had a really positive influence on the team since joining the club in the summer and he was even the unlikely goal hero against Stoke recently.

Worryingly though for QPR, the Spaniard is out of contract in January and is already attracting interest from others.

McClaren will be desperate to keep the 35-year-old but a better offer from elsewhere could see him move on and obviously no replacement could arrive.

The biggest worry for everyone at Loftus Road will be that they lose the supremely talented Eze.

The youngster has already established himself as the main man for the team and his creativity and quality in the final third will have attracted interest from elsewhere.

Ultimately, money talks and the chance to play in the Premier League will appeal to the player.
