Leeds United are one of the most historic clubs in English football history, but recent years haven’t reflected that.

The once European Cup finalists and multiple time English league winners have long to be considered as ‘sleeping giants’.

A slump in League One was the low point of Leeds’ recent history, although things may be looking on the up now.

A succession of managers didn’t help the cause either, with recruitment of players also severely off the mark.

Leeds have a lot of fans, and many of them will have memories of the European Cup runs and title wins under the likes of Don Revie and Howard Wilkinson.

Most memories will be of more historic matters, but they may have some of the last decade.

Here at FLW, we look at the THREE most unforgettable Leeds moments of the last 10 years...

Jermaine Beckford’s winner at Old Trafford in the FA Cup gave Leeds a historic win over bitter rivals Manchester United.

42 league positions separated the clubs following Leeds' dramatic fall from grace, but Simon Grayson’s side did not reflect that on the pitch.

Leeds’ win was the only time Sir Alex Ferguson was knocked out in the third round of the FA Cup, and for Leeds, it was one of the best moments of the past decade.

One of the biggest jokes in football is Leeds’ managerial appointments.

This memory isn’t a singular event, but the whole year or two will live long in the memories of Leeds fans, for the wrong reasons.

In 2014, Leeds had four different managers – Dave Hockaday, Neil Redfearn, Darko Milanic, then Redfearn again.

Milanic lasted around five weeks, while Dave Hockaday lasted just six fixtures.

Leeds look like they may be settling now, but the period of 2012-2015 was a turbulent mess of managerial appointments.

Leeds were promoted back to the second tier in 2010 after a three year stay in League One.

This may be remembered as more of a metaphoric sigh of relief rather than anything else, but it was a great afternoon.

The Whites finished second under Simon Grayson, with Beckford firing Leeds past Bristol Rovers and to promotion on the final day of the season.
