Norwich City are enjoying a wonderful season at the moment.

After suffering relegation from the Premier League last term there was real doubt over how the Canaries would take to the challenge of bouncing straight back this term.

In truth I don't think they had anything to worry about.

Daniel Farke has built a team that's filled with talented young players who clearly have their best years ahead of them but there was a time when the club would put their faith in more experienced heads.

Norwich have had some real veterans representing them over the years, but how many of these golden oldies do you remember?

We took to Transfermarkt to find the top 10 oldest players to ever feature for Norwich City.

An England international who spent much of his career with one club.

Corrigan started his youth career with Manchester City before staying with the club for 16 years as he established himself as a real club favourite during the 1970s and 1980s.

After leaving City in 1983 the goalkeeper joined Seattle Sounders for a spell before moving back to England with Brighton & Hove Albion.

After a year on the South Coast he headed out on loan to Norwich City for a short period.

In that time he played in a 2-1 away victory against Sunderland on Oct 13, 1984 - a game that he played at the age of 35 years 10 months 25 days.

The defender enjoyed a very successful career during the 1980s and 1990s.

In that time Walsh spent four years with Wigan Athletic before joining Leicester City where he would spend the vast majority of his career.

After 14 years with the Foxes the defender joined Norwich City in 2000 - a move that didn't quite work out for him.

The centre-back didn't make many appearances for the Canaries with his final appearance coming on Sep 30, 2000 in a 1-1 draw with Huddersfield Town.

At the age of 35 years 10 months 27 days, Walsh established himself as the ninth oldest player on the list.

Megson enjoyed a wonderful career as both a player and a manager.

The midfielder spent much of his playing days with the likes of Sheffield Wednesday, Everton, Newcastle United and Manchester City before making the move to Norwich City in 1992.

He spent three years with the Canaries as a player who also being assistant manager to John Deehan.

His final appearance for the club as a player came in the 1-0 away defeat to Leicester City on Apr 5, 1995 - a game that he played at the age of 35 years 11 months 03 days.

Of course that wasn't the last that fans would see of Megson as he became manager just a few months after leaving.

The Irish midfielder is certainly a fans' favourite at Carrow Road.

After starting his career with Shelbourne he went on to join Livingston in Scotland and then joined Blackpool in England.

Hoolahan then went on to join Norwich City in 2008 - a club where he would spend the next 10 years of his career as a player.

After a long, successful time with the Canaries, Hoolahan made his final appearance for the club on Apr 28, 2018 in a 2-1 home victory over Leeds United.

The midfielder was aged 35 years 11 months 08 days when that appearance came, putting him at number seven in the list of the Norwich's oldest ever players.

The midfielder enjoyed a wonderful career for both club and country.

As well as representing England more than 60 times, Peters spent more than two decades as a player where he represented some massive clubs along the way.

The East London lad started his career with West Ham United where he spent 11 years before joining Tottenham Hotspur in 1970.

Five years later the midfielder joined Norwich City at the age of 31 and enjoyed five years in East Anglia.

His final appearance came on Feb 9, 1980 in a 5-3 defeat to Liverpool - a game that the ex-England man played at the age of 36 years 03 months 01 day.

Another England international who joined Norwich City late in his career.

Channon spent much of his career playing for Southampton where he spent 12 years as a forward, as well as representing England on 46 occasions, scoring 21 goals.

After brief spells on loan in Australia and South Africa the forward, Channon spent time with Manchester City before returning to Southampton.

In 1982 he joined Norwich City and stayed there until 1985 when he made his final appearance for the club - a 3-1 home defeat to Sunderland on Mar 16, 1985.

At the age of 36 years 03 months 16 days he is the fifth-oldest player to feature for the Canaries.

The only player who is still playing for Norwich City.

McGovern started his professional career with Scottish giants Celtic but spent enjoyed his best spells playing for the likes of Stranraer, St Johnstone, Dundee United, Ross County, Falkirk and Hamilton Academical.

In 2016 the goalkeeper made his move to England with the Canaries where he signed an intial three-year deal.

Still registered with the club, McGovern's last match for the club was on Dec 29, 2020 when he played in the 1-1 draw with Queens Park Rangers at Carrow Road at the age of 36 years 05 months 17 days.

Long before his Homes Under The Hammer days, Dublin was a football player - and a pretty good one at that!

He started his career with Norwich City but made his breakthrough with Cambridge United before going on to join Manchester United in 1992.

Dublin then went on to enjoy his prime years with Coventry City, Aston Villa, Leicester City and Scottish giants Celtic.

In 2006 the powerful striker made a long-awaited return to Norwich City where he spent almost two years before retiring from the game in the summer of 2008.

His final appearance for the club came on May 4, 2008 in a 4-1 away defeat to Sheffield Wednesday - a match that he played at the grand old age of 39 years and 12 days.

A player who is certainly renowned as a Norwich City legend.

The English goalkeeper was born in British India in 1941 and started his career with Aston Villa before completing a move to Norwich City in 1963.

Keelan spent 17 years with the Canaries and made a club-record 673 appearances for the club during that time.

In that time he was voted the club's player of the year on two occasions and even helped the club to the League Cup final in 1973.

His final game for the club came on Feb 9, 1980 in a 5-3 defeat to Liverpool - coincidentally the same day that Martin Peters made his final appearance.

But at the age of 39 years 01 month 04 days there's no doubting why Keelan is number two on our list.

The oldest player to ever play for Norwich City.

The Scottish defender started his career in his homeland before joining Colchester United in 1961.

After seven years with Colchester he made the move to the Canaries where he would stay for 13 years until his retirement in 1978.

Forbes' connection with the club ran deep and saw him stay with the club as part of their commercial team post-retirement and even saw him awarded a place in the official Norwich City hall of fame.

After suffering with Alzheimers disease, Forbes sadly died in 2019 in a care home in Norwich but will always be remembered as a true hero of the club.
