Having spent over a decade outside the top-flight, it is no surprise Leeds United’s supporters are desperate to get back to get back to the Premier League this season.

Garry Monk has given the club a perfect opportunity for a return to the big time, inspiring Leeds to an unlikely promotion push this season.

The Whites have been in the top-six since November, and currently sit fifth in the Sky Bet Championship table.

Following a 2-0 victory over Brighton and Hove Albion, under three-weeks ago, Leeds’ long-suffering supporters had aspirations of the club challenging for automatic promotion during the Championship run-in.

However, back-to-back defeats against Reading and Brentford earlier this week have all but ended Leeds’ automatic promotion hopes, but more worryingly cast serious doubt over the club’s Play-Off chances.

Monk has taken to his personal Twitter account on the eve of tomorrow’s clash with Preston North End, insisting his side have been preparing to give their best to put Leeds’ promotion push back on track.

Victory over North End tomorrow will ease the tension that has been building around Elland Road in the past week, and hopefully help Monk’s side overcome their untimely slump in form.
