Swansea City will be looking to end a run of three league matches without a victory when they travel to face a Charlton Athletic side rich in confidence at The Valley this evening.

Steve Cooper's side enter the match after conceding a late equaliser against Reading at home on Saturday which saw the match finish 1-1, while Charlton's mood has been significantly lifted following their 1-0 success over Leeds.

The Welsh side therefore face a difficult task if they are to secure their first victory since August, as the Addicks proved against Leeds their ability to frustrate opponents while also exploiting their major weaknesses.

It is important that Cooper sends a strong and cohesive attacking unit out to face Lee Bowyer's side, with this being a more pressing issue than ever given Swansea's lack of final-third fluidity in recent weeks which has stalled their progress.

The Swans have only managed to score two goals in their last four league matches, with the prolific form of striker Borja Baston having seemingly masked some of Swansea's issues in the attacking third so far this season.

However, there is one glaring change Cooper could make to Swansea's starting line-up that could help to significantly alleviate his side's problems in front of goal over the past three league matches in particular.

Bersant Celina has been largely deployed on the left wing by Cooper this term with the likes of George Byers and Yan Dhanda favoured in the central attacking midfield role that the Kosovan occupied throughout most of last term.

The purpose of this ploy has been so Cooper can fit his host of talented midfielders into the side, while Byers has been utilised in the role regularly of late with his tireless work rate ensuring Swansea have plenty of legs in midfield.

The one issue with this tactical adjustment has been that it fails to get the best out of Celina, who is at his best when played in the centre where he can dictate play and make the most of his creative talents.

He shows glimpses of quality on the wing but it is evident that he would benefit from moving into a more central role, and this is something Cooper should seriously consider when Swansea travel to London tonight.

It could see Celina return to playing the kind of football he was playing last season, while it would also permit the chance for one of Swansea's wingers to stake their claim for a starting place in the side.

The likes of Kristoffer Peterson, Jordan Garrick and Wayne Routledge have all been pushing for a starting place in the league, and moving Celina inside means Cooper could perhaps experiment with one of these alternative threats at The Valley.
