Ellis Harrison is coming towards the end of his first season at Portsmouth, and it is fair to say he has added presence upfront for the team in the time he has been at the south coast club.

The forward, who made the switch from Ipswich to Pompey in June last year for an undisclosed fee, has offered the team a new dimension going forward, which was something that was lacking in previous seasons.

Prior to his move to Pompey, Harrison had been three previous clubs, with a majority of his time spent at Bristol Rovers, where he was for seven seasons.

QUIZ: Can you name these 11 Portsmouth flops?

He scored 52 goals in 205 appearances for the Gas, helping the side achieve back-to-back promotions in 2015 and 2016.

The Welshman then got a chance in the Championship as he joined Ipswich in July 2018, but it was an ill-fated spell at Portman Road. He scored once in 17 appearances for the Tractorboys, with the side also suffering relegation to League One.

The move to Pompey represented a fresh start, and it has been just that.

He has found the net ten times in all competitions for Kenny Jackett's side this term. But, it is not just his goals that have helped Portsmouth this season. They way he brings others into the game has been important, as well as his heading ability.

In total, Harrison has made 34 appearances for Pompey this term, establishing himself as Jackett's first-choice striker more often than not.

There have been plenty of tweets from Pompey fans since Harrison's arrival in the summer, raving about their attacking ace.
