Despite Leeds United’s current slump in the Sky Bet Championship, there have been positives from the opening months of the season, with Thomas Christiansen’s side playing a exciting brand of football, particularly over August and September.

Christiansen’s fluid style allowed the likes of Samuel Saiz, Kemar Roofe, Ezgjan Alioski and Pablo Hernandez to flourish, and the general feel at Elland Road is that if Leeds are to turn things around, those players rediscovering their best will be key.

Whilst there have been some shocking displays from Leeds recently, there have also been some exceptional ones earlier in the season.

With some exceptionally talented players at Elland Road, we take a look at who the most skilful is…

Sam Rourke

It has to be Samuel Saiz.

The Spaniard looks so comfortable on the ball and is adept with both of his feet.

The attacking midfielder has the ability to dazzle and produce some fantastic skill, that is simply of a higher standard than the Championship.

An unreal talent.

Adam Simeoni

Samu Saiz.

The way the Spanish playmaker unlocks defences and finds space in tight areas is very impressive, and he is easily the most comfortable player on the ball at the club.

He remains impressive despite Leeds' shocking form, and could hold the key to Christiansen's men rediscovering their promotion bid.

George Dagless

For all his flaws, I'd give it to Ezgjan Alioski.

The Macedonian international has been accused of going missing in games this season and rightly so.

What's more frustrating for Leeds fans though is that when he is on the ball and up for it he can do pretty much anything he wants.

Consistency is what he needs to find.

Chris Gallagher

Pablo Hernandez would run him close, but you'd have to say Samuel Saiz.

Whether it's his close control, dribbling ability or just beating players, he has it all and is the standout player at Elland Road.

He can cope with the knocks too and has made many Championship defences look silly this season and will continue to do so.
