The speedster who Leeds United boss Monk needs to offer a deal to after promising season

Published

on

After coming so close to promotion this season, Leeds United fans will be hoping manager Garry Monk can bring Premier League football back to Elland next time around.

The Whites came so close to securing a coveted play-off spot but some poor form towards the end of the campaign meant they were leapfrogged by the likes of Fulham and Sheffield Wednesday.

Thought will now turn to next season and the potential incomings we could see down at Elland Road.

But one man that really hasn’t been given much of a mention at all this season is forward Jordan Botaka, who has been on loan with Charlton Athletic for the entire campaign.

The speedy Congolese attacker hasn’t been in relatively good form down in London when he’s played for the Addicks, and has been chipping in with assists here and there, scoring twice and assisting three times.

But with his contract coming to an end this season and plenty of activity expected at Elland Road over the coming days, we think he’s the sort of player the Whites should offer a new deal to, even just for one more season.

They’ve struggled to really find someone that can put the pressure on the likes of Chris Wood in the forward line this season and Botaka really could be that man next season, if he can find some real goalscoring form to go with his pace and skill.

Whites fans- would you like to see Botaka offered a new deal this summer? Leave your thoughts in the comments below!
