Leeds United are weighing up a move for Rangers midfielder Glen Kamara, according to Football Insider.

The 24-year-old has been in and out of Steven Gerrard's team so far this season, and Whites scouts have been deployed to go and watch the Finnish international.

So would Kamara prove a good signing for Leeds? Is he needed at Elland Road?

We discuss........

Jordan Rushworth

"Kamara certainly appears to be the sort of player Leeds could benefit from signing during the January window, having impressed during his time at Rangers.

"The midfielder brings the sort of qualities Bielsa likes from his midfield players, with the calmness and composure in possession as well as the athleticism to get about the pitch.

"Kamara's stock is on the rise given his performances at Ibrox and it would be a statement of intent were Leeds to convince him to make the move to Elland Road.

"Leeds dropped out of the automatic promotion race last season with their squad too small to stay the course, and the addition of Kamara would add strength in depth that wasn't there last term."

Chris Thorpe

"This would certainly be a wise move for Leeds United to make in January, as Kamara would provide some much needed cover in the centre of the park, with the Whites lacking any real cover in that area.

"The 24-year-old would certainly fit into Bielsa's high tempo possession game, with the Finn boasting some of the best passing statistics in the Rangers squad this season so far.

"I feel that Rangers would be greatly reluctant to sell one of their star men, however as we all know, money does talk and I feel Gerrard would cash in on the midfielder if the price was right.

"It remains to be seen if Kamara himself would be open to a move, with Rangers going well both domestically and in Europe, the midfielder may be more keen to stay at Ibrox for the rest of the season at least."

Ben Lang

"Kamara has started entering a strong run of form for Rangers after making a slow start to the season, but it is still a surprise to see Leeds linked with the 24-year-old.

"The Finland international has delivered some fine performances in midfield of late, and he has become a key player for Steven Gerrard's side, but there is not really any reason why Leeds need to rush to secure his services anytime soon.

"The Whites should maybe revisit the possibility of signing Kamara in the summer when they can assess whether he is needed based on if a midfield player such as Kalvin Phillips leaves the club.

"Kamara is not a player that Leeds need at the moment given their options in midfield, but it is not a move they should rule out altogether in the future."
