Sheffield United continued to fall down the table last night as they were seen off by West Brom at Bramall Lane.

The Baggies leapfrogged Chris Wilder's men into third in the Championship and the Blades manager will have been unhappy with his side's lack of ability to kill off Albion in the first half which they dominated in the main before Gareth Barry brought the Baggies level.

It was a second straight home loss for United against a so called promotion rival, and it remains a worry for the Blades with their form against their nearest rivals simply not been up to scratch this term.

The likes of Nottingham Forest, Leeds, and now Albion have all taken three points off Chris Wilder's men, although they will take heart in the fact they are being completely outplayed and taken to the cleaners despite being so far behind in terms of their budget.

However, we at FLW are a bit concerned about what the future looks like for the Blades in terms of their promotion hopes, so we asked our writing team to give their thoughts on if the wheels could be coming off at Bramall Lane...

It’s too early to say that, but the signs of a collapse are there.
Defeats to Leeds and West Brom show that the Blades are short in certain areas.
Still, where they are is a huge achievement.

I'm not so sure.
The Blades are pretty consistent in the fact they are very good against most of the division but struggle against the best.
That's been evident for a long time now and was the case last night. They need a few quality additions to be able to compete with the best.

I wouldn't say the wheels are off, but there is certainly some alarming signs coming from Bramall Lane.
United are simply coming up short against their rivals in the top six, and this sort of form will ultimately prove costly.
If United are to make the playoffs, then they have to start taking points off their nearest rivals.
