Sheffield Wednesday rescued a late-gasp point, with Atdhe Nuhiu netting an injury-time equaliser against Fulham on Saturday.

Scott Parker's side took the lead on the day through Tom Cairney, and looked as though they were heading back to Craven Cottage with all three points.

But Nuhiu scored late on to see the spoils shared at Hillsborough, which means that Garry Monk maintains his unbeaten record in charge of the Owls.

Nuhiu hasn't had a regular run in the Sheffield Wednesday team this season, but could be playing himself into contention for a starting spot under Monk.

That was his fourth league appearance of this year's campaign, although they have all come as a late substitute, as was the case against Fulham.

But he'll fancy his chances of challenging Steven Fletcher in the starting XI for when Wednesday are next in action against Everton in the EFL Cup on Tuesday.

Plenty of Sheffield Wednesday fans took to social media fans to issue high-praise for Nuhiu.
