After their initial proposal for a new club crest drew widespread criticism, Leeds United have announced that they will keep their current badge for next season.

That gives the club time to ensure they have a new badge ready for the 2019/20 season that will also be the Whites centenary year.

The Yorkshire side had spent months working on a new badge for the club but were ridiculed when it was revealed last month.

As well as that, a petition was signed by over 70,000 people demanding that Leeds did not go through with the change.

Following that, the club announced they would have a re-think and welcomed the many ideas that were put forward by fans.

They will now take those on board and effectively start the process again, with the fans set to have a significant input, which is sure to be appreciated by most.
