A small number of Birmingham City supporters have taken time to reflect on Diego Fabbrini's time at St. Andrew's.

The Italian playmaker signed for Blues on loan from Watford for the final three months of the 2014/15 campaign, making a positive impact in only five appearances for Blues.

The following season, after a mixed loan spell at Middlesbrough, Blues swooped to sign Fabbrini on a permanent deal from Watford, for a reported fee of £1.5m.

But in his second spell at Blues, Fabbrini flattered to deceive, registering only one assist in 13 matches in the second half of the 2015/16 campaign.

He was to make only nine appearances the following season, and after loan spells with Spezia and Real Oviedo, he joined Botosani on a free transfer in 2018.

It was a tale of two spells at St. Andrew's for Fabbrini, and despite impressing during his first spell with the club, he failed to live up to expectations after signing permanently.
